AFRICAN CULTURE

African culture

Is this my culture
Or a mere vulture
That seeks for men fortune,
During the rain downpour.

Is this african capture
Or the beginning of rapture
That shed its nakedness
To swallow covetousness.

Is this in my scripture
Or kind of a mixture.
The combat of the spirit
from daughters of jezebel.

African culture of beauty
Who will tell me what have seen?
Beauty of the wolf
Clothed in my native wares.

Heritage of my culture
Been chopped away by vultures
That light their ways into nature
To be seen as creatures.

Black is seen from the eyes
Not the shape of the body
Or the sight of your butty.
Black is beautiful and unruly.

Pills and potions are your drugs
Herbs and concoctions abandoned.
Seeking the white powder
Forgotten about our eye lid tiro.

Cultural dance step of Africans
Has gone to our fathers grave.
Admiring the choreography bands
Of the white men that enslaved us.

Dark beauty,heart mercy.
Africans the great men bow thee
Respect to the elders are buried
Sunk into Mediterranean sea.

Where is my culture?
Where are the hunters of Africans
Call thee to catapult the vultures
That laid siege into our territories.

Africans Africans Africans.

Why are we on torture?
When those regard as treasure
Are found in the slum
And can't be washed even with alum.

Wake up Africans
Wash away the dirt in thy eyes
To see clear and clearer
Those beast in the street.
