THE SOLDIER





















The Soldier

You fight in the war for your land.
Your mate falls down, you hold his hand.
The only thing you can hear are shots.
Someone shot him in the neck. You hide behind a bush,
You know you need to carry on,
But you won't let your mate down.
You stay by his side, but then he shuts his eyes.
You know you need yo survive
And save your life,
All for the sake of your daughter and wife.
Suddenly you hear a loud bang, followed by a loud peep.
You can't shut it down, it is so loud and deep.
You go down on your knees and whisper Hallelujah.
You clap your hands together and pray.
No on in sight,
You take out a pic of your daughter and wife.
Then you see an enemy in front of you,
He shoots and takes your life.
